Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Mosaik Farming app (iOS and Android) and the web app at app.mosaikfarming.ch. Both use the same database.

2. Data we process

• Account data: email address and sign-in credentials for authentication.
• Farm content: the information you record about strips, fields, locations, planting sets, crops, trackings/observations and machine use.
• Location: when you use the “nearest strips” feature we use your precise location, accessed only while you are using the app (“While in Use”).
• Photos: images you capture or select for soil samples or field documentation.
• Audio/microphone: voice notes for voice input.
• Diagnostics: crash and error reports to keep the app stable (via Sentry).

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process this data to provide the app and its features (performance of a contract) and to operate it securely and reliably (legitimate interest). Location, camera and microphone are used only with your permission and only for the relevant feature.

4. Hosting and processors

• Supabase – database, authentication and hosting of your account and farm data (region: eu-central-1, Frankfurt).
• Sentry – collection of crash and error reports for diagnostics (data hosted in the EU / Germany; no personal identifiers, no session replay).
• Apple / Google – distribution of the app via their app stores.
• Cloudflare – hosting of this public website (landing page and privacy policy).

These providers process data on our behalf. Data may be transferred abroad with appropriate safeguards.

5. No advertising, no tracking

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

6. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists or as needed for the purposes above. On request we will delete your account and associated data.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Switzerland: FDPIC; EU: your national authority). Contact apps@hoflabor.ch.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is available at mosaikfarming.ch/privacy.
