Mosaik Farming is the software we use at HofLabor to plan and document our strip cropping. The visual planning happens in the web app, in the browser. For work out in the field there is Mosaik Farming as an app for iOS and Android.
Access
Not publicly available yet
Mosaik Farming is used in day-to-day operation: on our own fields and with a small number of farms working closely with us. That way we know it holds up in the field before we open it up more widely.
Invitation only
Access runs exclusively through personal invitation. An account can only be opened by invitation.
Not in store search
There is an iOS and Android app, but it is not a publicly discoverable store listing. Even once it is published, access stays limited to invited farms.
No fixed date
We are deliberately not naming a date for open availability. You can register your interest below and we will be in touch when that changes.

Built for mosaic farming
In mosaic farming, many narrow strips, each carrying something different, sit on the same piece of land. Mosaik Farming mirrors exactly that structure: every strip with its own crop, its own set and its own history. The software grew out of the daily work at HofLabor.

Plan crop sets across the strips
Plan which crop sits on which strip and when — set by set, across the season. You see the whole mosaic at a glance: what sits next to what, what follows what, and where there is still room.

Log it while the machine is still standing there
Record which machine went over which strip, and when. Logging happens where the work happens — in the field, on the phone, in a few taps. So what is documented is what actually happened, captured in the moment it happens.

Web app for planning
The visual planning runs in the browser: set up strips, sets and crops, look at the field map, think the season through. No installation needed.

Can I download the app already?
Access currently runs through personal invitation. The app is not discoverable via store search; even after publication, access stays limited to invited farms for the time being.
Is there an app for iOS and Android?
Yes, for both. On top of that there is the web app in the browser, where the visual planning happens. All three work on the same data.
When will it be available to everyone?
We are deliberately not naming a date. We will only open the app up more widely once it runs reliably in daily operation — and that will take a while yet.
What does Mosaik Farming cost?
For invited farms, use is currently free. What happens afterwards is something we will decide together with the farms using the software alongside us.
Who is behind the app?
HofLabor, a Swiss on-farm innovation project for regenerative mosaic farming on two farms near Zurich. Mosaik Farming grew out of our own practice. More at hoflabor.ch.
What happens to my data?
We use the details from the registration form solely to contact you about Mosaik Farming. How we handle data is set out in the privacy policy.
